I'm in proces of writing an email to Kapil on this and other 
SilvaMetadata related issues.

If an 'eval()' is not an option - according to the comment in the 
Import.py code, then we should find an other way to get these 
serialized lists imported in the correct way.

For now, I'll try your (Samuel) patch too.
