I can confirm this: there was a bug in Silva that made the libxslt fail 
because it gave it a wrongly formatted path. I have fixed this bug on 
the current trunk, which should get released soon as the 1.1 final, so 
in the next release it should be fixed, but it's still in the current 
1.1 beta releases. Installing a different libxslt will not fix the 
problem, libxslt is fine.
If you want to test the new code, you can do a CVS checkout of the 
current CVS head and drop that in your products directory (replacing the 
existing Silva dir).
