I hope this is the right place to discuss FileSystemSite.

We've started bundling FileSystemSite with MailManager from release  
2.0 onwards, it's been very convenient for all of the ZSQL methods we  
use.

We have two issues at the moment. The first is that we are keen to  
get MailManager working with Zope 2.8 and FSS seems to be the only  
component that won't run with 2.8. Looking at cvs.infrae.com it looks  
these problems were resolved but there just hasn't been a release.

Secondly, we got a patch included in the CMF to add some more  
functionality to FSZSQLMethods, it would be nice to see these in the  
FSS release.

I'm quite keen for us not to release a patched version of FSS as I  
think that just causes a lot of confusion.

If there's anything we can do to help with a new release let me know.
