Greetings!
We're beginning to plan for an increase in the use of flash on bethel's sites.
We're planning for flash scripts that can be controlled via parameters in the
external source tool.
Unfortunately, SilvaFlashAsset uses a global Formulator form for the
parameters.
This is very restricting, as it limits customizablility of the flash control
using parameters. The way around this is to supply a text file, which also
isn't desirable.
My thought was to adjust SilvaFlashAsset the following way:
Instead of using a global form that is shared among all flash assets, on flash
asset creation, copy the fs-based form into the zodb as the flash assets
parameters form.
This will enable us to modify a flash asset's form according to the specs of
the flash script. We can add parameters to the form that can be included as
<param>'s when the asset is rendered.
I'd like to make this change to the SilvaFlashAsset in infrae's svn in the
next month or so.
Andy
