[Silva-general] SilvaLayout in 2.1.1 buldout

Hi all,
So, it looks like maybe it's not possible anymore to do a non
SilvaLayout site in Silva 2.1? I had things running fine in 2.0, but
they are broken after an upgrade to 2.1.1 (buildout). Somewhat
frustratingly, things render fine in a preview (e.g. following the
link from the preview column in the Silva Edit pane). But when I try
to view them with SilvaLayout turned off in service_extensions, I get
the classic 404 - not found ... @@index.html stuff. If I activate
SilvaLayout, content renders, but ignores my existing old-fashioned
Silva templates / css.
The 404 isn't a problem with my own content - if I create a new Silva
Root and deactivate SilvaLayout, I get the same 404 ... @@ errors.
Previously (in 2.0) this boiled down to an issue of whenever
SilvaLayout was installed, nothing would render in the "old" style.
But now it seems that when I remove SilvaLayout that Silva in general
stops working.
Is there anything to be done about this? I suppose I could stick with
2.0 for now until I have time to sort out 2.1 / SilvaLayout issues!
But I'd like to start playing with integrating Mail using the newer
Silva Mailing system... (and worry about SilvaLayout later).
I'm fine hacking on my products to make this work... as I said,
previews render fine, so I know Silva 2.1 _can_ render my content
correctly. It just chooses not to!
Cheers,
Dav
