[Silva-general] Installation on Debian Squeeze

i would just follow the installation instructions here:

i.e. this would install python-2.4 and the buildout will fetch the correct version of zope automatically. for silva-2.2 this is zope-2.11.6.

personally, i always install python by hand in different folders and i never use the python which was installed by the operating system provider. this allows me to have multiple versions of python and zope at the same time and consequently having different instances of different silva versions running at the same time on the same server. and a python system update does not break my stuff and i don't break system stuff with messing around with the system python...
